They say March comes in like a lion, and out like a lamb. We can only hope!!! On
Friday,
April 5,
I plan to throw my pizza/movie party which was part of the District
66 auction. Unless your child does not like pizza, do not send them
with a lunch that day.
Have
a wonderful spring break and Easter! Let's hope the weather warms
up a bit. Stay safe and enjoy this time with your family.
Coming
up the week of April 1:
Spelling: Lesson 22. Pretest on Monday. Everyone will do the cursive hw, due Tuesday. Challenge folks will do 2 activities, due Friday. Non-challenge will work on ABC order and 10 sentences, also due on Friday. Those people will take the final test on Friday.
English: We'll start pronouns this week, specifically, subject pronouns and pronouns in agreement with verbs.
Reading: Reading calendars for March are due on Tuesday. We will be working with non-fiction texts this week.
Social Studies: We'll continue our study of the wonderful city of Chicago. Quiz #3 will be on Friday. A study guide is going home today. We will be working on our Chicago brochures this week. Most of it will be done in school; some might have to be finished at home.
Science: This week we will begin lesson 3 on our solar system. I'm tentatively planning an open book graded review on this lesson for Monday, April 8. Tentative date for test is 4/15.
Mrs.
Klacza's Math Class:
This week we will work on fractions, chapter 18. It is short with
just a few lessons so the test will be Friday, 4/5. Continue working
on division facts. We'll be tackling the 4's next!! There are some
practice worksheets in your child's binder.
