Week of 6/2/14 - 6/6/14

I can’t wait for our box top pizza lunch today!  Thank you Mr. Simpson for organizing the food and drinks and for bringing it all in!
We have one more full week and then our shorter “final” week.  It’s been just flying by, at least for me!!

Coming up the week:
Spelling:  We are officially done with spelling!

English:  The students have been working on a special persuasive writing project.   They will be sharing them this week.

Reading:  Each student has been assigned a reading group and a mystery novel.  They’ve planned out the reading so that each day there is a portion of the book to read.  They will meet in their groups daily to discuss and read.

Social Studies:  We are basically done with social studies; however, there may be small activities that pop up.

Happy Memorial Day everyone!   So far the weather looks awesome so go out and enjoy a wonderful 3-day weekend with family and friends!!
Good News!!    Our class had the highest amount of box tops in 3rd grade (second highest amount at PV) and we won a pizza party!!    We will have it on Friday, 5/30, so no lunch is required that day.  Thank you Mr. Simpson for being in charge of box top collections - it is a great fundraiser for our school.
Coming up the week:
