Week of 5/19/14 - 5/23/14

I hope you all have a sensational weekend!  My son and future daughter-in-law will be coming home from Seattle for a long weekend AND their shower on Sunday and I am so excited!!   Weather is warming up and our Blackhawks are on fire!!!
Coming up the week:
Spelling:  This week our spelling list will consist of some more fourth grade words.  There is no challenge work.  If a student gets 0, 1, or 2 wrong on Monday’s pretest, he/she will have the same homework as everyone else, but will be exempt from Friday’s test.  I’ll assign the homework as we go...

English:  We will continue working on persuasive writing this week.

Reading:  We will be continuing our Egypt unit this week, studying Cleopatra specifically.  I’m looking at 5/28 as a test date for our unit.

Social Studies:  The chapter 9 final test will be on Tuesday, 5/20.

Science:  We’ll start Chapter 5 on how living things depend on one another.  There will not be a final test on this chapter, rather, the students will create a poster as a culminating project.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class:  We will continue chapter 13 on area and perimeter.  I’m looking at 5/28 as our unit test date.

Important Dates:
5/26 - Memorial Day (day off)
6/11 - Field Days & Picnic
6/12 - Last Day of School!!

Have a great weekend and Go Blackhawks!   Mrs. Klacza
