Last Day of School!

First of all, thank you for all the marvelous end-of-year gifts!   I am beyond humbled by your generosity.

Secondly, I would like to wish all of my students a wonderful, relaxing, and safe summer. We have had a successful year together in Room 105 and I truly believe each and every one of you are ready for what lies ahead in fourth grade. Work hard, be respectful to your teachers and your fellow students, and have fun! I can't wait to see you all next year.

To my parents, I thank you for your support and generosity throughout the year. Your children have their wings and are ready to fly. Support them and love them; they are all treasures.

Keep on reading (for enjoyment, of course!) Practice your math facts, too!! Email me from time to time to let me know how your summer is going :)   I do check my emails in the summer!!

See you soon!!!!

Week of 6/9/14 - 6/13/14

Happy Friday everyone!  We are expecting our second grade visitors this afternoon and we are very excited.   I remember when it was your children visiting and here they are, one year later, being the third grade ambassadors.
Monday is our bowling field trip.  If your child would like something from the snack bar, $5-$7 is more than enough!!  Also, please send your child with a small lunch from home on Monday if they are planning on eating at the bowling alley.  Trust me, they are NOT hungry when we return at 11:15!!
We won our final marble party!!!   It will be on Tuesday; students do not need to bring in a lunch that day.
Thursday will be our final day of third grade; Dismissal is at 11:00.
Coming up the week:
Spelling:  We are officially done with spelling!

English:  Students are working on writing prompts this week.

Reading:  Each student has been assigned a reading group and a mystery novel.  They’ve planned out the reading so that each day there is a portion of the book to read.  They will meet in their groups daily to discuss.  Books will be finished this week.

Social Studies:  We are officially done with social studies.

Science:  The students have each been creating a poster on an animal.  The poster will include the animal’s food chain and other interesting facts and pictures.  Posters will be presented this week.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class:  We’ll continue our FINAL unit on on graphing and data (chapter 12.)   Our last day of math is Tuesday.   We had a great year!!

Important Dates:
6/9 - Bowling Field Trip (Lots of junk food eaten that day; have your child bring in a
                 sack lunch)
6/11 - Field Days & Picnic
6/12 - Last Day of School!!

Have a great weekend!   Mrs. Klacza
