We had a donut & milk party on Tuesday morning courtesy of Natalie’s family (high auction bidder) and Mrs. Spakausky! Thank you so much; it was such a treat! I am planning on having our auction pizza & movie lunch on 4/11 here in Room 105. Thank you to Delaney’s family for bidding on my party AND being the highest bidder!!
I hope you all have a restful and enjoyable spring break. Let’s hope the weather is warm and the sun is shining!!
Coming up the week after spring break:
Spelling: Pretest for Lesson 23 on Monday. Cursive HW due Tuesday. Challenge folks: 2 chosen assignments due Thursday. All others: 12 sentences using at least 12 of the listed words. Test Friday for all EXCEPT challenge.
English: We’ll finish up our unit on Pronouns this week. Lesson 7 is our final lesson. There will be a quiz on the information on Wednesday and a final test on Friday.
Reading: We will be reading a story from our basal called Two Days in May. It’s a beautiful story about helping animals who can’t help themselves!
Social Studies: We will continue our Chicago unit. This week, we will focus on the Chicago brochures! I’m looking at 4/21 as a due date, so plenty of working time ahead. Our final quiz will occur on Monday, 4/14. Study guides will be coming early in the week.
Science: We’ll continue chapter 10 this week. I’m looking at Thursday, 4/10, for our test. Lots of projects will be made regarding the solar system this week and next as well.
Mrs. Klacza's Math Class: We are taking a step back and starting chapter 9 this week on Properties & Equations. The chapter includes 2 properties we are very familiar with: the commutative and associative properties, and we will be introduced to the distributive property. Lots of problem solving will be going on for the next couple of weeks!!
