Week of 5/28/18 - 6/1/18

This is it!  Our final full week together in third grade!! (However, we do

have school on June 4.) This Monday is Memorial Day, so no school.

Chromebooks, cases, and charger cords will be checked and collected on
Tuesday, May 29.  Students may still use their chromebooks in class,
but they won’t be able to bring them home after Tuesday.  
PLEASE MAKE SURE CHARGERS ARE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL ON TUESDAY!!!

Spelling:  We are done!

Reading & Language Arts:  We finished reading The One and Only Ivan.  

Ask your child about it!   It’s a great story!!

The May reading log will be due on or before May 30, no exceptions!!!!

Social Science: We are done!

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class:  Today is our last day of Math.  It has been

a pleasure being your child’s teacher this year.  I’ve truly enjoyed each

and every one of them!  Please make sure they continue practicing their

Math facts so they’ll be ready for 4th grade!

Week of 5/21/18 - 5/25/18

We had a wonderful visit to the Brookfield Zoo yesterday!  The students were

respectful, responsible, and safe, following our PV pact.  Thank you to the
chaperones and I hope you had as much fun as we did.

Coming Up Next Week:

Spelling:  We are done!

Reading & Language Arts:  We’ll finish reading The One and Only Ivan.  

As we read, we’ll discuss and work in an Ivan packet as well.

The Cursive workbooks are due on or before May 25.  

The May reading log will be due on or before May 30, no exceptions!!!!

Social Science: We’ll be continuing Mystery Science this coming week.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class:  Students will explore graphing this week.  

Students will be creating their own surveys and making graph posters!

Happy Mothers’ Day to all the terrific moms out there.  I hope you’ll all

be pampered this weekend!

Our Brookfield Zoo trip will be on Thursday.  Please make sure your child

dresses appropriately for the weather and wears comfy shoes.  Also,

please send a totally disposable sack lunch.  

Coming Up Next Week:

Spelling:  Menu homework is due on or before Friday, 5/18. The final

Spelling test will be on that day as well!

Reading & Language Arts:  We’ll continue reading The One and Only Ivan.  

As we read, we’ll discuss and work in an Ivan packet as well.

Social Science: We’ll be continuing Mystery Science this coming week.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class:  We’ll finish Unit 7 on extending multiplication

and fractions.  There will be a short, checkpoint quiz on Monday.  Our

Unit 7 test will be on Tuesday, and a divided by 4 quiz will be on

Wednesday.  A study guide went home yesterday and it’s due back,

finished, on Monday.  We’ll go over it as a review on Monday.

Week of 5/7/18 - 5/11/18

Happy Friday, everyone, and May the Fourth be with you!! I want to

give you all a heads up that yes, indeed, the cursive workbook is due

on or before Friday May 25. There are many pages I’ve eliminated

and if your child is unsure of which ones, please tell them to ask me.

They received the workbook on the first day of school and have been

encouraged to work on it every day at school since then.

It seems Summer has arrived!!  Enjoy the weekend.
