Week of 9/30/13 - 10/4/13

We had a wonderful celebration for Johnny Appleseed's birthday! Thank you to Luke's family for donating the bowls and spoons for our applesauce and Natalie's and Gabby's families for the apple juice boxes. The generosity of our PV families is heartwarming!

Coming up this week:

Spelling: We will be taking a pretest on LESSON 6 on Monday.  The cursive worksheet is homework on Monday. On Tuesday, depending on what group your child is in (challenge or non-challenge) the homework will either be 2 challenge activities or ABC order of the regular spelling words. The homework assigned on Tuesday will be due on Thursday.  The final test is on Friday. The students will only be tested on the regular spelling words; challenge words will not be tested.

English: We will be presenting our “Me Bags” this week and then starting our next English chapter on Nouns. Be ready for a new Schoolhouse Rock video!!

to memorize the spellings of the continents and oceans, but they will have to locate them on a map.
