Week of 10/28/19 - 11/1/19

Halloween is almost here!  Please make sure your child brings his/her
costume to school in a bag on Halloween (Thursday.)   Costumes should be
easy to get on and off. Students will be changing in the classroom (we separate
the boys and the girls.) If you have any questions, send me an email.

Don’t forget about the parade (which will begin at 1:55ish.)
Hopefully the weather will cooperate!

I’ll see you all next week for conferences!

Coming Up Next Week:

Spelling:  A new set of words will be coming home on Monday with a
pink menu. That homework will be due on or before 11/8.

Our big writing project,“Buy My Haunted House” has been assigned and
discussed.  Students will be using adjectives, similes, and all kinds
of descriptive words.

October reading logs are due by October 31.

Social Science: We are finishing up our Downers Grove unit.  Our test
Will be on 11/6.  A study guide will go home on 10/29.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class: We are moving along in Unit 3. We’ll
continue to focus on multi-digit addition and subtraction.  There will be
a short quiz on Monday going over rounding to the nearest 10 and 100,
word problems with estimating/rounding AND finding exact answers, and
adding and subtracting using “stack em up.”
