Week of 4/9/18 - 4/13/18

It was a little difficult coming back after a wonderful Spring Break, but
we all adjusted just fine and will be taking the Math PARCC tests this
coming week. We’ll be testing ELA the week of 4/16.  Please make sure
your child gets a good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a good
snack! Most importantly: Chromebooks will need to be fully charged
every night and earphones should be brought to school daily!
A mouse is also an excellent tool for PARCC tests.

Coming Up Next Week:

Spelling:  There will be a new spelling list of words coming home on Monday.  
The menu homework will be due back on or before 4/20.

Reading & Language Arts:  We’ll continue reading The One and Only Ivan.  

As we read, we’ll discuss and work in an Ivan packet as well.

A new reading log for April has gone home.  Turn in day will be May 1.

Social Science: We’ll be continuing our Chicago unit this week. This coming week
we’ll be creating cows that tell another story about how the Great Chicago Fire
started!   We’ll also be reading about the political changes that occurred after
the Chicago Fire.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class:  Our test date for Unit 6 will be Monday, April 9.
We’ll be taking the PARCC math tests in our math classes so we’ll be taking a
little break from our lessons.

4/17 - Early Dismissal (11:00)

5/18 - Early Dismissal (11:00)

5/28 - Memorial Day (no school)
