Week of 2/5/18 - 2/9/18

The 100th day of school is coming!  This year it is Tuesday and we have
some really fun activities planned here in room 205.
The year is flying by!  Here is an update of what’s going on next week:

Coming Up Next Week:

Spelling:  New spelling words will be coming home on Monday.  The homework menus
will be due on or before 2/15.  The test will also be on that day (it is a Thursday.)

Reading & Language Arts:  The country research papers are due on Tuesday.  Many
are already finished and shared with me.  I’ve asked that each student have an
adult or older sibling read theirs in order to check for accuracy and possible
mistakes.  On Monday, we’ll be starting Immigration Scrapbooks.  These will be
on display at Open House (in April.)

A new reading log has gone home for February.  Please make sure your child keeps it in a safe place.

Social Science: As a cross-curricular exercise, we will be creating our Immigration
Scrapbooks, which fits nicely with Chapter 3.  Those graded tests are in your
child’s binders.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class:  This week, we’ll be continuing writing our own word
problems and solving them, particularly, division problems.  There will be a division
checkpoint on Friday.  Also, the X4 quiz will be on Wednesday, make-up on
Friday.  A practice sheet will be coming home on Monday.

Thank you to those parents who’ve signed up for a math conference.  Here is the

link if you’d still like to get on my schedule.

Important Dates:
2/12 & 2/13 - Conferences for Math students
2/14 - Valentine’s day celebration
2/16 - Day off for conferences
2/19 - Day off for President’s Day

Have a great weekend!!
