What a weird weather week this has been! Is it Spring yet? Hopefully, the coming week will be better!! Next week starts our PARCC testing. We’ll be testing ELA on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The following week Math will be tested. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a good snack! Most importantly: Chromebooks needs to be fully charged every night and earbuds/earphones should be brought to school daily!
Coming up next week:
Spelling: Six spelling activities (2 from each column) need to be completed by Friday, 4/15. I am changing the date of the test to Monday, 4/18 due to PARCC testing.
Reading & Language Arts: We’re continuing our third and final reading unit:”Stand Up for what You Believe In!” We’re enjoying The One and Only Ivan. The story is wonderful; ask your child to summarize it for you!
We’ve started using RAZ kids in class in lieu of book reports. Students need to read stories on line and answer comprehension questions following each story.
April Reading Logs have gone home and will be due back on or before May 2.
Social Studies: We will be continuing our Chicago unit. There will be a test on the second section of our packet on Monday. Study guides will be allowed! 
Science: We will start reading about the solar system during our Reading/ELA stations.
Mrs. Klacza's Math Class: This week we begin Unit 7 on extending multiplication and fractions. Our multiplication test on x8 will be on Friday.
