Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. A class list went home for valentines. Please make sure your child gives a valentine to everyone.
We are about half-way through TGFD and what a wonderful presenter we have in Deputy Seward! Has your child told you any of his jokes?
Coming up this week:
English: We are continuing our “Me Front Page” activity which use the 7 traits of writing. We will also begin our chapter on adjectives this week.
Reading: We will be continuing to identify cause and effect relationships using a variety of instructional materials. We have read Katie's Trunk, which is about a loyalist family during the Revolutionary War. An extended response will be written this week using that story.
Social Studies: The students have all week to complete the Webquest activity on the American Revolution. It is due on Friday. We will also be starting chapter 9, “Winning the Revolution.”
Mrs. Klacza's Math Class: We continue our algebra chapter (4) with solving equations, functions, and inequalities. A short quiz will be at the end of the week on lessons 4-8. A test will follow the week of 2/13.
Have a great weekend! Mrs. Klacza
