Week of 2/27/12 - 3/2/12

We enter the month of March this week! It's coming in like a lion; will it go out like a lamb?

This is our last week of T.G.F.D.!! It would be nice if your child would like to write a thank you note or card to Deputy Seward!

SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, April 10th is our Too Good For Drugs Graduation at 8:15 a.m. in our gym. Parents are invited to attend!

Field trip slips for Naper Settlement will be given to your child on Monday. The permission slip and money is due by the end of the week.

Coming up this week:

Spelling: Lesson 23 – Pretest Monday, practice sheet due Tuesday. Homework due Thursday and test on Friday.

English: We will continue our unit on adjectives this week, specifically, using good/bad and proper adjectives. Tentative test date is 3/8. We will also start our expository writing unit this week.

Reading: The students seem to be enjoying their novels! We are reviewing all the important reading skills we've covered so far this trimester. Our literature circles have been meeting daily and every day the children get better at it!

Social Studies: Our chapter 9 test is Tuesday. We will not start chapter 10 until next week.

Science: We'll continue studying the atmosphere and water cycle segments of our weather chapter this week. Wednesday will be a quick study day.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class: There will be a quiz on lessons 1-4 on Monday. We will then quickly move into chapter 12, fractions. We will be studying equivalent fractions this week.
