Week of 4/29/19 - 5/3/19

Happy “almost” May!!  Thank you to all the families who came to
our Open House Wednesday; we had a wonderful turnout! I was listening
to some of the students present their work and it really touched me.
They are so proud of their accomplishments!

We are celebrating our students today with another marble party!
The marble jar has been filled and we are starting the process again!!

Coming Up Next Week:

Spelling: New spelling words and the homework menu will be coming home
today. Homework will be due on or before 5/10.

Reading & Language Arts: We continue to read The One and Only Ivan.
We’ll also be working in our Ivan packets.

Reading Logs for April will be due on or before Wednesday, 5/1. The
May log will go home on Wednesday. It will be our final one of the year!

The students have been working on completing their cursive workbooks
Since the beginning of the school year.  They will be due on or before
Friday, May 24.  Many students have chosen not to work in their books
during the school day.  I fear there will be a lot of pages to be done!

Social Science: We are almost finished with our Chicago unit. There will
be a quiz covering the third portion of our Eyewitness Chicago packet
on Thursday.  Please make sure your child completes his/her study guide
and tucks it back into his/her Social Science pocket (binder.) They will
go home on Tuesday.

Mrs. Klacza's Math Class: We’ll continue Unit 6, Geometry, this week.
I am looking at Tuesday, May 7, as our final test date.  There will be
A study guide/pretest coming home on Thursday, May 2. Please make sure
your child completes it.  We’ll go over it on Monday, May 6.

There will be a Divided by 6 quiz on Wednesday.

Important Dates:
5/17 - Early Dismissal
5/24 - Cursive workbooks due!!!
5/27 - Memorial Day (no school)
